Herein is Wisdom
By
"Herein is wisdom; when I was undone, with no will to return to him, and no intellect to devise recovery, he came, God-incarnate, to save me to the utmost, as man to die my death, to shed satisfying blood on my behalf, to work out a perfect righteousness for me."
— “The Gift of Gifts,” of The Valley of Vision
The beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord But moreso than fear to become a son, And risen anew on that blesséd morn, The dawning glory of Thy kingdom come; The beginning of Wisdom is fear of the Lord. He ransomed a sum only God affords, At price of a manger and forsaken love, The wisdom of God is a dual-edged sword To serve so willing the Father above. The birth of the Christ is our dearest chord In chorus and hymn to the indwelling Dove, The beginning of Wisdom is fear of the Lord.
